Apparently Visual Studio Express editions doesn’t handle when switching from one Microsoft Account to another. I am currently consolidating and abandoning some that I do not really use to have my services connected to a single account as it isn’t easy to switch between them.
When I tried to switch my account in Visual Studio Express editions I got a warning that I am not logging in with the account it expected and that I need to perform a switch user operation. Thanks for the info, but what is a switch user operation?
After a while I found the instructions for the full version of Visual Studio and managed to figure out that I need to run the executable with /resetuserdata switch.
On 32 bit OS this should be:
C:Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 12.0Common7IDE
On 64 bit:
C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0Common7IDE
Open a command prompt and navigate to the folder and run the following commands.
Web: VWDExpress /resetuserdata
Desktop: WDExpress /resetuserdataWindows: VSWinExpress /resetuserdata
Now you will be able to login with another Microsoft Account.
